![]() ![]() My biggest tip is to buy a really high quality wireless router. Bad picture quality, more noticeable lag, and a much more unstable connection (constant "bad connection" warnings with freezes or straight up crashes). I've tried Steam Link (both the actual hardware and the android+iOS app) and the quality is noticeably worse. ![]() It has negligible input lag (haven't tested it, but I'm pretty sensitive to input lag especially for stuff like shooters or platformers and I have no issue with it), the picture quality is great and you can manually set the bitrate to be lower or higher if you're not getting as smooth performance. Not sure if internet speed is a factor, but I have 300mbps download speed on Cox.Īs I said, it's the best in-home streaming method I've used by far. I use either my phone (OnePlus 6 Pro, and a Samsung s10e before that) or my iPad Pro 11in to play games with an XB1 or PS4 controller wireless connected over Bluetooth. My setup is a two unit Orbi mesh wires router (main unit and a satellite unit), my desktop is upstairs, has a GTX 1070, and is plugged into the main router unit directly. What I specifically remember playing in the last 2.5 years streaming at home was: I've honestly been playing all my PC games streaming to my iPad Pro for the last year or two. The Moonlight app (which uses Nvidia Shield streaming tech if you have an Nvidia graphics card) is the best streaming solution I've used. How does it deal when used over wireless vs wired? I can get it wired if need be. Has anyone found this to be perfectly fine for their gaming? I typically play a lot of Rocket League and then selections of all the standards like RDR2, Senuas Sacrifice and indie games like Ori.ĭo I have to push the controller through the NSP or can I still have it talk straight to the PC? My office isn't that far from my lounge and so controllers work fine. I've watched reviews and things but they seem useless and generally focus on how it works mainly for movies. ![]() Also, from what I understand the NSP will allow me to play games that aren't just on Steam (is this correct?). I have tried the SteamLink app on the Apple TV and it sucks because it cannot handle that I have two monitors on my PC, so I get sound but a black screen on every game I tried. So I was thinking if something like the NSP would actually provide a more than acceptable way to get my PC games to my TV. So I'm in this situation where my PC is satisfactory for me at the moment but I'm quite sick of gaming at my desk but need it kept there for work. ![]()
